The Life Balance Support staff

Hi there, I'm Iris.

I am the Team Leader for the support staff and the official greeter at The Life Balance.  On warm sunny days, I can be found hanging my head over the fence at the entrance to the office.  I am gentle and caring with the small and meek (i.e. our chickens, cats & children).  Please feel free to give me a pet, kiss, hug and/or sweet words of endearment as you pass me by. I look forward to many years working with this small but powerful counselling company.  When I am not working, I enjoying chewing on toys, wrestling with my friends at the BX dog park and chasing my own tail.

Hi there, I'm Vincenzo but you can call me Vinnie.

I am a junior psychotherapist. Despite making many mistakes (such as yelling at clients, chewing on furniture, chasing cats, wrestling with clients, etc.) The Life Balance staff have been very patient in teaching me how to be my best self. I am still trying to overcome my nervousness, therefore with your permission, I will be joining your therapy sessions with the goal of becoming more confident and comfortable in my canine therapy role.

Hi there, I'm Fabio.

Fabio recently joined our support staff after being rescued from a puppy mill, where he spent much of his early life in a cage. Because of this, the world can still feel like a big and uncertain place for him.

Fabio is gentle, sensitive, and learning—about safety, about trust, and about connection. He may be a little unsure at first and needs time to settle, but when he does, he shows a very soft and loving side (along with some truly impressive hair and a flair for dramatic entrances once he’s comfortable).

Fabio is still figuring things out. His role here is not to be perfect, but to grow. Some days that means watching the room very carefully. Other days it means deciding, quite bravely, that your lap looks like a good place to be.

For clients who are open to it, Fabio may join sessions in his own time. There is never any expectation for interaction, and your comfort always comes first. Fabio reminds us that healing doesn’t have to be rushed. It can be slow, a little uncertain, occasionally awkward—and still deeply meaningful.
