What you can expect

When you come in for counselling support, I start by creating a relaxed atmosphere where you feel safe and are reassured that you've found someone who can help you truly face the issues you are experiencing. Sometimes, traumas from the past or the stress of current life can be overwhelming and your world becomes very narrow.

Working together, you can develop the skills and flexibility you need to not only improve how you function but to actually enjoy all that home, work, and the rest of life brings to you. As your counsellor, I am committed to providing you with the necessary tools and techniques to overcome life's obstacles and achieve a balanced fulfilling life.

My Approach

I use a variety of evidence based therapeutic methods, tools and techniques depending  on your unique issues and therapy goals.

I am knowledgeable, skilled and experienced in the following counselling models:

  •  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified Therapist,
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • The Gottman's Method for couples,
  • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT),
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI),
  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for trauma.
  • Canine therapy (aka Vinnie)

I look forward to meeting you!!
